Drawing on their personal experience they conclude taht there is indeed a strong, authentic pakeha identity and culture which can stand proudy alongside new Zealand's other indigenous culture, Māori. The examine the specific influences that made them Pakeha. They write about things which are unique to New Zealand, and about an increasing pride in nationality and the sharing of a bicultural heritage.
